GLASS WASTE STATISTICS

According to the National Environment Agency (NEA) in Singapore – only 11% of Glass was recycled from the 66,000 tonnes originally produced in 2020! (National Environment Agency, 2021)

WHERE DOES THE WASTE GO?

The remaining glass that has not been recycled – 89% goes into the Pulau Semaku Landfill. (An island created just to dispose of waste) By utilising this glass waste, we will be able to extend the life of the landfill, therefore helping the environment as well.

WHERE DOES THE WASTE GO?

Abrasive blasting can serve many surface finishing purposes, such as removing contaminants or previous coatings, altering the shape and smoothing or roughening the surface.
